The Asbestos Alliance | Legislative Update

In late May, Senators Specter and Leahy introduced a new and improved bill - S.3274, "Fairness in Asbestos Injury Resolution (FAIR) Act of 2006." Read the bill. The new bill goes even further than the previous legislation in ensuring that the fund will not impose any financial burden on the taxpayers, increases fairness of defendant company contributions and does even more to clamp down on fraudulent claiming.
