• The rising tide of claims has forced more than 70 companies into bankruptcy. Without a solution, more companies will be forced into bankruptcy, delaying and reducing resources available to pay those who are now sick or may become sick in the future.

• It is time for Congress to respond to the Supreme Court's repeated calls for a legislative solution.
